Special Guest speaker from the Prince Edward Sheriff Dept will talk with us about how Civil Asset Forfeiture is being handled in Prince Edward County. The General Assembly is considering bills to require criminal conviction before assets are seized from citizens. Currently no conviction is required! Some innocent citizens have had their cash, vehicles, etc taken by law enforcement. Join us to learn more about this important issue and to discuss it with our own law enforcement representative.

Natural Resources Building next to Farmville Lowe’s
Our speakers, Pastor Hassan and Diana Shores, will relate the exciting and uplifting story of how Congressman Tom Garrett’s heroic efforts resulted in the release from prison for three Christian pastors. For over a year they were persecuted and imprisoned for their Christian faith on trumped up charges. Not only were they released and pardoned by the Sudanese dictator, but the extended family of 9 are now right here in Central Virginia as religious refugees starting a new life with the support of a community of churches and volunteers.
